Extreme E as new concept of racing will stage races with electric SUVs in extreme conditions to raise awareness for the visible consequences of climate change. The races are taking place at different locations around the world which already show concrete effects of the climate change. The arctic, the Himalayas, the Sahara, the Amazon rainforest and an island in the Indian Ocean were announced as the racing locations for the debut season.
Continental is founding partner of the Extreme E series for 2019 and 2020. Beginning with the races we will be a Premium Partner and Tire Supplier in the series 1-3 from 2021 to 2023.
As sponsor of Extreme E we are going to equip the teams with specially made tires and to showcase the performance of Continental tires in extreme conditions in very different environments. This underlines our engineering competence and technological expertise.
